I find the background quite distracting which takes the focus off the main subject here. More DOF essential or a neutral background would enhance her much more(portraits in general). Apart from that, wind has caught her hair which I like and it is a nice clear shot.

What a sweet little girl. This photo caught my eye. You caught an emotion quickly here so no set-up I wouldn't think. If you could do it all again , I do find the hat distracting from that beautiful face, sharper focus needed and if you have photoshop or similar program, I'd suggest removing some of the blemishes(dirt) from her face but then again it could be the whole appeal of the photo ? Maybe a touch more DOF as well. So with a few general adjustments here and there this would be a fantastic shot ! Keep at it !

Thankyou to all who commented, means a lot. You all saw how this fitted the challenge like I did, but there were so many others I'd say looking for movemement in the photo or were simply anti-gun. Extreme action has so many interpretations . But going with the obvious in a lot of the challenges maybe the way to go in future. Going outside the circle and still meeting the challenge still isn't enough.
