Thanks for all the comments!

This was a snapshot of my daughter having just had a "disagreement" with her brother. She came over to the picnic table and sat down opposite me looking like the photo. My camera was on the table and I just picked up and took the picture. It was one of those moments when the brain says "DPC...MOODS". I did not check settings and just fired a shot off, hence the rather uninspiring background. I would have done some work on the background, but I did not want to lose the blowing hair and, not yet being good enough with PS, left it as it was. If we had sat the other way around, a glorious view across the estuary of the River Severn would have been behind her. That's just the luck of the draw though, isn't it!

Thanks for the various ideas regarding the background and burning it in, blurring it etc. I havent' played with it yet, but will do.

Good photo, pretty subject obviously thinking hard. Brothers is probably it. Very good for moods and portrait also.

The background is quite distracting, particularly the bright blue thing that leads me to look outside the frame. With a shallower DOF this would have been a better image.

your young lady strikes a most enigmatic pose. the hair is nice as well. I think though that you'd have benefited from burning in the background, as its tonal range is too close to the girl's. this strongly detracts from the image. (5)

nice picture, but cropped too close on the right side.

I like the wind blowing the hair, but not the distracting background. Good shot overall though.

Hah, I feel that way sometimes too and you've captured it dead on. :-)

Great capture and title. You caught a sister's frustration perfectly. Good luck.

nice action and pose, fairly flat lighting tho

Great setting...the wisps of hair really set this off. Would have been better with cleaner backdrop...maybe trees or shrubs.

She does look a little perturbed here.. but also thoughtful.. as if she's thinking not only that brothers are a pain in the ass.. but how to effectively get rid of them and hide the bodies.

This is a pretty good candid portrait, but the color seems a little flat to me.. more DOF would have been nice (assuming it's possible), but I understand that it can't always be achieved. Love the wispy hair.. Just a few tweaks on lighting and color, and you'd have a winner.

NIce photo. Detail is great, it would be nicer if tha background was more blurred, and the whites on the shirt toned down. 8

Background makes this look like a snapshot. Great expression though. Slightly overexposed.

Too posed... It doesn't look candid or real. (5)

I don't understand, us brothers are great! it's the sisters that are a pain! Nice job! may be a bit fuzzy though.

Wonderful photo. I love the way the wind is blowing her hair.

Sorry this photo seems a bit too snapshot/posed like for my tastes

I find the background quite distracting which takes the focus off the main subject here. More DOF essential or a neutral background would enhance her much more(portraits in general). Apart from that, wind has caught her hair which I like and it is a nice clear shot.

Expression caught perfectly, felt the background let the photo down. It is quite distracting.

Very nice shut. It can be more interesting with blurred background.
