if you're having a hard time distinguishing what it is that didn't quite bump this picture up into the realm of top 10 you should re-read dartompkins' comment. The fact that this image is underexposed makes the colours look a bit drab. The little girl's expression isn't exactly conveying that pink is her favourite colour. I hope this helps a little bit.

If this picture were in focus I'd give it a 10. I love the feel of it and the muted colours and the glowing lights from within. But it's really out of focus and it's a shame because it really is nice.

the star effect is a nice touch... although I doubt it happened that way in camera..... that christmas ball isn't shiny.. it's frosty.
