Sticky Situation by dsa157Comment: Eeewww, yuck! What IS that crud? Love the way you showed it, with the one eye looking through, all the stringy parts pulled taut, and the bright contrasts with dark background, including the effect of having the head floating behind everything (no neck showing). The green/yellow/red colors at the top might have been less distracting if replaced by pure black, but, Hey! That's just me again. Great image. Good luck with the challenge. |

Daddy's Whiskersby elru21Comment: Come on, kid. Grab a handful and yank! :-) Kids love to touch beards and faces and eyebrows and glasses. It's all about touch. Brought back memories of when MY kids were young. Your image nicely portrays just the essentials to get that feeling across. Good luck in the challenge. |

Fingers and feathersby afarlandComment: Ok, you get my 10. Reason? The stark contrasts between beautifully lit and very realistic colors of the solid fingers versus the monotone blacks, grays and whites of the masses of obviously very soft feathers. Neat composition. Very striking image. Really love it. Has "touch" written all over it. Different. Thanks for sharing. |

The Touch of Darknessby LongComment: Really nice image. Too much "dirt" in it. Specifically the stuff hanging around in the air. It that stuff exists because it came from the other similar objects on the surface being touched, well, in my opinion, it should still be cleaned up. It detracts from the image. Specifically the three dots above the finger. At least, that's my opinion. |

Evidence of a Touchby TomH1000Comment: Ok, I like black and white. I like really close-up detail. This gets an automatic 7 the first time around. We'll see if I raise it again after comparing it with all the other images for relative value to the challenge subject of Touch. |

painful touchby zzzabaComment: This is just so creative. My first impression is Christmas (green and red). Then, when I get looking closer, it's almost madness - ripping, tearing thorns being squeezed by real fingers depicted in an almost Infra-red and negative fashion. The result is very ghostly, unreal and scary. But, fascinating to study. Great image. Good luck with the challenge. |

unseenby klementComment: I know, it's a cheap trick. Done it myself at Spencer's Gifts many times. But, I still like the image - and it does conjure up feelings of "touch". And it's fun looking at all the lighting effects created by it and then captured by the camera. So, for pure entertainment value, and because the overall image is so well balanced, you get a higher score from me. Congratulations and good luck with the challenge. |

Comfortingby DianaBComment: Nice lighting, good detail, contrast and color. Is that a kleenex the dummy is holding? You take a nice image, why not take it of something other than dummies? You also need slightly better lighting on that bear's foot; I think I just figured out that it says, "Softest", which would be a reference to the kleenex or toilet paper? Ok, I'll leave it at 4, but I wanted to give the dummy a 3. (Hate those dummies...) |

Cold to Touchby ImpulseComment: I'll probably be dumbfounded when this challenge is all over and I understand what great insight you have to the subject of "touch", but right now, with no explanation, I'm just lost. I have no idea what I'm looking at. I CAN see, from the object close to the left foreground, that there "might" be frost on it - and thus the title. But, that's as close as I can get to an understanding. Good luck with the other raters. |

Phone touchby morpurgoComment: This just really is so out of focus that I can't get past that part. If it were in focus, and demonstrating touch - maybe I could buy it. But, even then it would probably be a so-so subject from my viewpoint. But, who am I to criticize - I didn't even enter this challenge. Good luck with it. |
