I'm sure that others will vote this lower than I do - mainly because of the out of focus plant life in the background and the lack of definition on the fence wire in the foreground. Never-the-less, those eyes, those little pin feathers all around the face, the exquisite detail ... you gotta love it. And, although it has a hint of tone to it, I love black and whites - or single color and white images.

Frames on many levels, and such neat contrasts of dark and light. I love it. I could have wished for a little more focus on the closest planes, but, Hey! You can't have everything. Nice image. Congratulations.

Reminds me so much of a life-size terrarium - a little mystical world of green in which you can imagine so much. The framing works even without any detail - the little piece of wood across the base provides that. The contrasts between the dark branches, the light background, the major uprights - it all just works so well. Congratulations.

Such wonderful and contrasting lines all in one image. A round frame with detail, contrasting with lighter arcs and straight lines in the Susandiane. They all complement each other so well and are composed so nicely. It was a favorite of mine the very first time I went through this massive set of contributions. Congratulations.

Such neat contrasts and, in spite of the separation of here and there by framing, the pipe serves to bridge the gap. Lots of shadow details, different perception levels, it's just a wonderful image. Congratulations.

So cool. Can't wait to hear the story behind its creation. Really nice use of framing, contrasts, black and whites, and sure to be a family heirloom in future generations of the young subject's family. Congratulations.

This is such a wonderful image - very worthy of a 10, even with many other subject matter challenges. It really is what I think of when I think of B&W photography as "fine art". Dark framing, historic architecture, modern activities, and a little child playing - oblivious to the sinister side of the world we live in. Congratulations. It's now one of my "favorites".

I love this image. Contrasts galore, between the squares and the circles, the darks and the lights - so much to look at. Your eyes never seem to stop: the people are only partly there and moving, there are reflections in the windows, there's a foreground a background and an "around the corner" to think about. The detail is really nice. It's a fun image to examine. Oh, yeah - and there is a frame! Congratulations.

Wonderful image; nice thought; cutsey title. Framing though? Hmm... The hands are so much a part of the bars image-wise, that what I see is ALL frame and no image. Maybe if there was some kind of background indicative of a gulag or penal camp, maybe then it would have a foreground frame and background image and seem to qualify more for this challenge. That's just my humble opinion, and I could be wrong. Again, nice image. I really like the subdued lighting on the hands.

There were several very nice images of mountains and clouds, with the closer, darker, foreground mountains obviously being what the photographers meant to be "frames". However, in my own humble opinion, they are so much a part of the image that they aren't frames, but rather points of reference in the actual image. This is a perfect example. Like the image. Don't see a frame. Good luck, though.
