A good, original compositional choice. The colors look like it was shot with dyalight white balance in tungsten illumition. the effect is very nice, wouldn't change it.

great subject! Good use of negative space. I'd have been sorely tempted to clone out the wires, LOL. Guess there was nothing you could really do to eliminate them.
I think my only serious suggestions would be to increase contrast and sharpen slightly more post-resizing to bring out some of the interesting texture in the coach & field, and also to try for more contrast in the sky; the sky contrast might be enhanced by creative use of channel mixing during grey conversion, or a polarizer might have brought out more contrast in the original shot.

Good use of narrow DoF; you might have stoped down one more stop to get the entire wooden rim in focus, still throwing out the spokes & hub; really just my opinion, it does work fine as-is.

Heh heh, slow indeed! the hard light works well, but the image would have more impact with a more unusual perspective. Perhaps a lower, closer viewpoint, or...?
