Beeby BobsterLobsterComment: This image has more impact than most of these types of shots that I've seen. The colour of the flower really adds drama to the bees activity. The bee looks almost sinister against the delicate flower. The depth of field is spot on to put the attention where the action is. |

Girls night outby MiinervaComment: I think this photo really captures the intended emotion. I really like it when people have a go at pushing some of the technical conventions a bit. I think the overexposed look works really well with the colour and subjet matter. The grainy texture in the mid tones also adds to the emotional impact. |

"Purple makes me smile!"by MarjoComment: I think the shirt works well against the green background. Its prominent without being too loud. I personally would have cropped this with a bit more space above the subjects head. The lighting in this photo is strikingly clear. |

Purple Rainby Links 2 3 4Comment: I know how hard it is to get this kind of shot right. This is well executed. The purple really suits the subject. |

Heads or Tails?by redmoonComment: I like the ominous nature of this image. As if a lot is dependent on the outcome. The mood is quite dramatic. The soft focus adds to the drama. |

Amber Light - Brake or Accelerate?by sbeaumontComment: I think the slow shutter speed has been utilized really well for this subject. It doesn't just look like a single motion. It could easily represent indecision or a number of movements. |

Choices - Pick up or Notby SondaComment: I love the light in this image. The darkness of the subject really emphasizes his isolation against the light background. There's a real sense of desolation and aloneness, even vulnerability. The detail in the foreground contrasts so well with the soft distant background. This is a beautiful and provocative image. |
