Added a bit contrast and made it B&W. Added Diffuse glow and played with levels. Finally added a gradient layer, set to overlay as blend mode, to make it purple...

Interesting shot. The color combined with the noise works really well with this.

Just gives me the feeling of fun! The purple tint gives it a "night out" feel (without it, of course, it wouldn't fit the theme but the tint really helps the shot - just won't be the same if it was all b&w) One of my ribbon picks.

It was absolutely brilliant of you to MAKE a purple photograph instead of trying to TAKE one. This is a beautiful shot and it looks great in purple duotone. Really nice job.

Very nice composition. Maybe i need to recalobrate my monitor but i just did that not to long ago. The black and white effect seems like it could use some adjusting.
Either way great job-9

A very unusual group portraint to say the least. Looks like it could have been taken in the 50's or so.

I really like the purple effect here....it is funny...happy...gritty....all at the same time.....this gets a " 10" from me!!!

I think this photo really captures the intended emotion. I really like it when people have a go at pushing some of the technical conventions a bit. I think the overexposed look works really well with the colour and subjet matter. The grainy texture in the mid tones also adds to the emotional impact.

Fascinating image. So many engaging elements to appreciate. The purple toning works very well and reminds me of some the colour washes we saw in glossy magazines in the 59's and 60's.. nicely done.

I absolutely love the composition of the photo. I wish the third gill in had her head down. O i have to complain about something when the shot is so good.!! :)

Strong contrast and grain provide a classy retro look which I like. Then I begin to wonder if this falls into my category of "colorized purple for the sake of meeting the challenge.." ? A shot like this borders on digital art, specifically because it uses the effects of post processing to achieve the purple or "wow" effect.
