This shot gives me a strong sense of movement from the curves and waves. I love the colors althougth the yellow spots and white glare are a bit distracting. The rim of the glass is not equal on both sides at the top of the picture and seems to get sucked out the left side a bit. Perhaps cropping a bit more off the right to equal that out would help. Just an idea. I like the shot very much overall = 8

Nice detail here but some of the lighting seems a bit too harsh - especially on the leaf on the right and on the bottom. You might not have had much control over that though. I like the mix of colors. = 6

Nice vibrant colors - good compostion. I can't think of anything to recommend about this shot, but overall it doesn't do much for me. I am curious to read the description on this one. = 6

Lemon DROPS

I think the sliced lemon would have made a more interesting object to have in the front. I like the seeds that have come out, but they almost get lost in the shadows. There is nice detail here and good focus - I like that the back lemon is slightly blured. Good composition. = 7

I like the way the wires towards the top almost seem to warp or ripple in this shot. The upper left corner is a bit distracting because there is wire mesh doesn't go all the way to the edge - moving in just a tad might have helped, or cropping the shot a bit more on the left. I like the detail captured in the chipped paint and the feeling of perspecive this gives. = 6

House Finch

I love the blured background here. The details on the finch don't seem to be very strong though. It seems like the focus could be adjusted slightly to bring out more definition in the feathers. I like the framing of the branch and how the bird almost remains in the lower left half of the photo. Very nice = 7

This is a nice candid. = 6 Good capture of expression. The lighting makes the features very soft and the shot has a dark feel to it that is brightened by the stark contrast of the white shirt. The head in the lower right is a bit distracting but cropping that out would cause you to lose the womans hands.
