Water, Snow, Ice

Please take this as a critique because I'm by no means a rude commenter. I just want to tell you what I see in your photograph.

Would I hang this on my wall? No! Would I have this as a wallpaper on my computer? No! and heres why, your showing me the side of a building with snow. In a challenge setting (even though the snow is pretty) your going to have to have some creativity within your shot for it to stand out. With that said I would like to offer a suggestion of what you could of done with this setting and made it an interesting photograph. IMO at-least.

Your showing us to much, to much of things we don't need to see. But there is a diamond in the rough if you look at the ice-sickles in the middle. If you would of taken a nice vertical picture of the ice-sickles from their crown down to where they touch the snow mound and given us a close-up view with detail, that would of made a nice creative and interesting photograph.

Well the challenge did say "Water" and we have it in this photograph. Technically good, shows how water flows over object such as the stick and has some nice broken in the background. However it just a photo of water with nothing interesting to make me want to study it. You did meet the challenge and technically you did well. I would of liked to have seen some creativity.

Nice sky, land color, and water. Even though the water looks wavy (I guess windy that day). I may have went with a slower shutter and larger Aperture giving a little more motion in the water and wind mill. However it's still a good shot.

Fill my cup

I think some back lighting on this photo would of worked better. I seems to lack the lighting required to stop the motion and give the view are crisp shot to look at. Not a bad photo but I feel it could of been better. I wish you the best in the challenge.
