An interesting choice of objects, evokes different areas of life (home, work, nature, industry) I would crop it a little lower so we see a soild grey background, rather than the pools of light along the top edge. Nice sharpness and color.

Autos: The Cost of Luxury

I actually sent a PM to everyone, but posting here to explain. There were indeed many people who didn't understand the point of the image. The image is supposed to show the things people give up to own a luxury vehicle. Several people said the items along the wall were out of place, but that was the point. The dingy wall and life-junk contrast with the gleam of the Mercedes hood and the reflection of the ornament on the wall. Clearly it worked alot better in my head than for everyone here. It was well recieved by the paper here, so I don't mind the low standing :)

Talking Hands

I had a simalar idea (but fewer hands available) and I'm glad to see someone thought of this. Your DOF is off, though, you need to bring the image completely into focus, and you might have done better to spread out the signs, it looks very busy right now, and hard to read. It's also kind of confusing since some hands are aiming in totally different directions.

But why is this *your* photo? You need to be more creative, this is just a picture of someone else's art. The top edge is very bright and fuzzy, be careful to prevent wash out in full sunlight.

If you did this setup yourself, I think it's a 10. If you saw it and took a picture, it's an 8. Since I don't know, you get a 9 :) Nice use of light and shadow. Very thought provoking image, it makes you want to look at it for a while to get all the nuances.
