Camera Phoneby ibkcComment: Way to be creative! This one is not only creative and imaginative, but technically fabulous. The buttons on the camera are very convincingly real. Good sharp, clean image. |

Grattan_Bridge_V2_8375.jpgby BrookiedComment: Gorgeous! The image is very detailed and has good contrast. The bright lights add variety to the scene and create a visually interesting lighting situation. The lights and the surrounding areas are overexposed, but I don't think it's necessarily too bad.
Skip gives good advice though: this image might be even better if both the highlights and shadows could retain detail. I would love to see this image in an HDR version (from perhaps 5 frames in 2-stop increments? I haven't done enough HDR yet it know what would work best). |

The Day Afterby cdpalmaComment: Great concept, creative and thought provoking. I think you might be able to improve it even more by shooting from a "more interesting" perspective than straight on from the side. |

Unconditionalby cheegirlComment: Very nice grain, it is very natural looking, unlike the noise in a lot of the other images. I like the muted colors. |

Shadow Insurrectionby pointandshootComment: Really doesn't seem like image grain, but more like a patchy oil-painterly look, as if the image resolution was upsampled way too much with some resizing tool or an effects filter was applied too much. It is a good composition, however, but I am too distracted by the odd texture of the image. |

Keyed Upby bobgaitherComment: Who! I think I see an image in all that noise... It is an interesting effect, though, a very impressionistic use of grain. |

Dawn Raysby MichaelCComment: Gorgeous!! I love the rays of light with the opera house silhouetted. Is the grain from digital sensor noise? It is some of the more attractive sensor noise I've seen. (very fine-grained and evenly distributed with no banding or patchiness). |

The "HOPE"by UAE_GuyComment: Really nice; I like how he is looking off camera... it's sort of a contemplative look. The grain texture is pleasant... is it added in post or is it from high ISO? I'll be interested to find out. |
