depression: alone in a crowdby cycloxslugComment: Wow! Very well done. Great idea. Well executed. I wonder if a different background than the off-white (paper?) would make it even better? It kind of makes the image feel like it has a yellowish color cast. 8. |

I like chocolate.by victorfComment: Nice even lighting, but a tiny bit of hard shadow on the wall behind the girls head on her right side. Nice composition. Seems to have a slightly yellowish color cast though, but maybe that's just an illusion. |

Chips Ahoy!by ElemmennopeComment: Wow! Brilliant. The blue sky in the background is a nice touch too. Some clouds could make it even better maybe. Good focus, exposure, framing. What is the boat made of? |

Many more bites to comeby shiva5381Comment: This photo saddens me because I like it a lot, but there are a few serious problems with it. First, it's extremely blurry. Out of focus, probably. I would have focused on the chocolate bar with the bit out of it in the foreground. Second, there is that ugly date stamp on it. What's with that? I've never seem that in a challenge entry before.
What kind of camera stamps the images with a date?! Maybe a video camera?
Great idea & composition. Unfortunately, technical problems kill it. |

Back from the Candy Storeby bmatt17Comment: The main problem is that the lighting is too direct and harsh, as if from a camera hotshoe-mounted flash. Using off-camera light sources off to the side and using a reflector or diffuser to soften the light would make this picture a hundred times better.
Also, the choice of a blue background and the blue uniform is actually not a good choice. The subject isn't well separated from the background.
The placement of the subject is pretty good, although it might be more interesting if the camera was lower, it's kind of looking down on the boy and might be improved by getting lower. |

Chaplinby basia03Comment: Ugh, the lighting's a bit harsh, as if from the camera's onboard flash. |

The First Bite Is The Sweetest.by CuriousComment: Fantastic!! The composition and the B&W processing are excellent. Only I might have cropped a bit taller to include all of the chocolate's reflection. |
