I like the composition of the shot. But if he's in the garden, gardening I'm assuming, then he should be holding something else than a baseball cap in his hand (or did I get it completely wrong and he's not holding a cap?)

If you're inspiration for the photo was "the teacher" from the previous env. portrait challenge, then I would have to say there was a slight lack of creativity to the shot. On the other hand, if that's not the case, then I would have to say good work in creating an effective env. portrait. It's a nice shot regardless, of course.

What catches my attention the most are the pots above the flame. Although they're nice and crisp, they take my eye away from the main subject. Still really like the photo.

It's an awesome photo, regardless of the challenge. Now within the framework of the challenge, I'm trying to figure out what's going on. What's his passion? Flying? Running through the snow barefoot and jumping all funky-like only to land on his face? Had this been a free study, I'd give 8. For this challenge, I'm giving a 6. At the same time I'm still curious if there is something that I'm missing.

I like that the photo offers a great to look at and appreciate. On the other hand, I think that the placement of the model in the photo just isn't quite right as my eyes are automatically drawn to the big stacks of break in the middle/right. Almost feels like I'm looking at bread standing beside a person almost. 6
