Appleby MobiusComment: I love the patterns on the skin and on the shadowed part of the apple as well. The surface on which the apple is seated detract somewhat as does glare. I am not too keen on the composition, but it is okay. A 7. |

Poppy foreverby pcodyComment: Very nice idea. The back lighting helps distinguish the depth of the layers of petals, however, a little more reflected light into the flower itself would have been nice. A 9, and I hope this does very well. |

good night elizabethby fstopopenComment: This is an excellent contradiction to the one third rule. Sky and lake equally beautiful. I love the back lit leaves at center top and the colors are awesome. The fill lighting really helps as well. Good luck on this. |

Monarch colors (soft focus)by rameviComment: I would like greater depth of field, as the body and flowers are in relatively sharp focus. Alternatively, by focusing at a lesser distance, everything could have been in soft focus. |

Kateby andygoughComment: A candid shot with a blank background is a little strange. I like the expression, light distribution, but the bottom of the picture and shoulder seem purposely blurred (not out of focus) and very uninteresting. |
