I really enjoy macros of unexpected, everyday objects. Shallow DOF really works for me. If you were to make it better, I'd say use a clean white background. It also seems kind of grainy.

Sight-seeing Balloon

Really cool to have captured a balloon in a cityscape. It would be nice to see more detail in the balloon, and no street light.

Great action shot. I like how the sides are cropped so that you can't see what the ring is attached to. I wonder if it wouldn't create some more excitement if, instead of being centered, the subjects were closer to the top of frame. Seems like it could have a little more "Pop" though I can't really explain this. Color saturation maybe?

Hey, that looks like my fisherman. (See my portfolio). I thought about doing a shot looking down a fishing pole, but decided not to enter this one. I like shallow DOF on the pole and the contrast against the orange sky.
