Once Upon A Time... by aerogurlComment: Thanks Guys and Gals!! :o) all I can say is WOO HOO!!
and to answer a few questions:
It would have been nice to see the feather tip, but this was one long quill and the world isnt perfect hehe. I had other shots with the entire quill, but there were problems with those shots. I did use neat image, its my downfall as usual, I over use it. I like the smooth effect, others don't. I didn't write on the paper because the quill does not write. This quill set is special to me and I did not want to ruin it, so the ink is water with blue food coloring (vial washed out great, cork has blue stains, bums me out) and the tip of the quill was painted with blue fingernail polish, which I later removed. I hadn't decided to go sepia till I did it and liked the effect. I also only had one sheet of parchment paper and I decided it was better to leave it blank than to mess it up and then have to cover it up. I really wish I could have spot edited and removed the spots on the candle holder. I also didnt decide to use a hand until the last minute. I had the quill lying on the paper in 75% of my shots but my son Jordan came into the room and I had him pose for the shot. Thanks Jordan and Thanks to all who voted and commented, not just on this shot, but on my other work as well.
