Rosellasby neehaiComment: Nice use of shallow depth of field to hold attention on the subject. |

Grasmere Reflectionsby robsmithComment: excellent detail held throughout the image, and I'm envious of the reflection you've captured. Looking forward to reading the details of this image when the voting ends as I'd like to know more about the location. Outstanding landscape work! |

Childhood Memoriesby labudsComment: Great abstract - I love the use of the frame as the ptterns guide my eyes all over it. This is great work! |

My girlfriends feetby kyrkbymannenComment: Distracting background, awkward lighting, overexposure. I'm afraid this concept needs a bit more attention to detail. |

where there used to be businessby session_kidComment: There are a lot of background distractions, and not much detail retained in the stone. Sharpening may help, and possibly 1 stop less exposure. Overall, the perspective just isn't all that aesthetically pleasing. |

simple kind of lifeby zzzabaComment: You've chosen an excellent subject for b/w where others have chosen an excellent subject and made it b/w. Kudos for your proficient use of the technique, and your excellent image! |

Millennium Bridge, Newcastleby KeysComment: The title suggests the bridge as a focal point, yet there are nearly the same number of pixels presenting the cityscape in the background, and the left side of the bridge is cropped. I think that bridge would make a fascinating subject, but it looses something when it competes with the city skyline. |

Remember the Timeby anatolio25Comment: Interesting subject and expression, great use of backlighting, but I'm hung up on how tight the cropping is to her chin. |

"Society of Faith"by jmassungComment: There are many detailed and interesting crops available on this building, but taking it as a whole, I think those points of interest are lost. The expansive brick face isn't inherently interesting to look at, yet it commands a significant amount of the frame. The same could be said for the sky. I'd go for an angle that accentuates the main door and window above it, leaving out the distracting elements. |

Pathwaysby jaredldrComment: I think the perspective obscures the background path too much for this to work right. You'd want to be up about 5 more feet or so to bring it out. |
