amazedby charliebakerComment: DQ'd of course, but for reasons which have little to do with what actually happened in this "photo". As the editing rules read "using any editing tools to duplicate, create, or move major elements of your photograph is not permitted". Certainly. I agree. I did not use editing tools to duplicate, create, or move major elements of this photo. I simply resized the photo to 20x20 pixels and added multiple borders. I appreciate Kirbic's attempt at explaining the DQ but after reading and reading the editing rules, still disagree with the site council on this one.
All in all, the "photo" of a yellow square 20x20 pixels is very uninteresting, and the overall entry a tad obnoxious to view as well as to review.
Way to go Site Council! Keep up the good work on behalf of all of us here in DPCland.

Coeur de Roseby hyperfocalComment: quality floral macro
the rose itself seems to be a "subject" doesn't it? a rose has always (in literature, sacred writ, poetry and daily life) been a subject/symbol of love
I like the lighting |

Subjectlessby mistComment: a couple of crits:
1) blurry leaves in foreground: either move to different angle to remove them or shoot with dif DOF;
2) white wash overexposure across photo takes away from natural colors;
3) composition with tree in upper foreground distracts from interesting castle in background
Otherwise, a lovely scene for this challenge |
