Jokby sofapComment: This is a truly stunning portrait. I love the simplicity of composition, and the invitation of this man to engage me as the viewer, causing me to think "who is this man's best friend, the photographer, or is it me the casual viewer?" One of my favs for this challenge. |

Pain is a Warrior's Best Friendby saloonstudiosComment: Arresting. Graphic. The eye is intense. Tough to look at this photo. I wince. The fuzzy tan background distracts me from the clarity of the eye. A lot of drama in this shot! |

Butch and Sundanceby jcolosiComment: Focus! Cool idea. The tipping "bokeh" mayo in the background has a quiet humor to it. Put five of these hombres in the photo for Cinco de Mayo! |

Tough Times Bring Friends Closerby DannyMComment: Great shot! God bless you two as you lean on each other through the tough times! I love the expressions on the faces of these two friends, joyful though having suffered, and confident-supportive. |

Best friendsby ageszComment: I'm not sure what these two objects are. Candles laying on the side? Could use some more details for the viewer to invite us into what you were thinking. |

Man and Natureby cannabuzzComment: Lovely simple concept. The head conveys native American. I'd love to see more of the body silhouetted but love the idea and execution overall. |

Gossipby LesleyNelsonComment: Lighting needs some improvement. I'm so new to digital photography as to only know when I see lighting that works great and lighting that could be better. Perhaps a secondary source. I like the natural candid sense on the faces of these two teens doing what teen kid best friends love to do. |

Together for lifeby yomanComment: Over exposed and cropped off too much. Since the human hand is your subject, we need to see the whole hand, including the details of the hand. I like the lighting concept. The title leaves me wondering. I love the simplicity of a human hand for best friends. Outside the box. |

Best friends mix wellby shiva5381Comment: Overly exposed or overuse of brightness/contrast in my opinion. Also, recheck the coloration of the original photo. Every time I've bought Crown Royal, it has never been greenish yellow. I do like the advertising angle for this challenge though. |
