Just saw this. Lovely, lovely shot. One of the few cases I've seen where extreme neat image is used lovingly and effectively. The coolness of the colors works well here.

What a touching picture. It pulls on heartsrings, wells up knots in throats, and makes us smile nonetheless. I'm sure many of us out there have a story or two about someone close (or themselves), which makes it all the more precious of an image to so many. Thanks for sharing it with us all.

Didn't vote on this challenge. Just came across this photo. I remember our fight too well... hope she wins hers!

Thanks to everyone for their votes and comments. Despite the photos technical flaws it seems to have had an emotional connection with many voters. Thanks again.

The whites look too blue and it looks like too much NI.

Love the concept. Blur layer is a little to obvious.

Great shot! God bless you two as you lean on each other through the tough times! I love the expressions on the faces of these two friends, joyful though having suffered, and confident-supportive.

Very nice! I love it! For this picture, i like how they are one above another instead of next to each other. i also like the brick in the backround to give it a kind and homey feel.

I like soft looks but color is too bluish.

Nice, simple photo. Meets challenge well. Like the soft lighting. Only suggestion I would make is that the background would be better witout the pipe. It's a distraction. All bricks would be good.

I love the idea of this shot - I like the pose and the casualness of it. Obviously it's a statement about supporting those around us through thick and thin, and what a wonderful concept. The colors are odd and the skin makes them look like mannequins though. Also, a little more continuous background (without that white line) would help to focus all of our attention on their eyes. I hope you'll post the unprocessed version of it after the challenge.

I think this would have been a beautiful shot. But the true expressions and emotions are lost to an extent from the amount of smoothing done and has made it a less attractive image.

Lovely idea, lovely pose. This photo has lots going for it, but it looks like you got a little carried away with the Neat Image.

Nice soft focus and soft light. I am not real sure about this pose. The break in the brick background is also very distracting. It definitely meets the challenge and conveys great emotion.
