This is a beautiful choice for a subject in this challenge. I think you could still show the nice backlighting effect while increasing the light on your foreground so that we can see the water and plants a bit more. Still, nice job!

San Francisco Night Life

This is a beautiful photo, I assume from Treasure Island. It actually looks like the shot might benefit from a little more light, either by adjusting the ISO or shutter time. That would make the buildings shine more with more colors and might show some of the water reflections. Of course, it's not easy to get a clear night here in the summer, so light can be pretty hard to come by. :-)

This is such a beautiful shot. The only thing that is distracting for me is how light the sky is at the bottom and how dark it is at the top. If you want to edit that, you can select all of the blue parts of the sky, adjust curves until just the top looks good, then apply a gradient mask downward to apply the change more to the top of the sky than to the bottom. But that could be a lot of trouble to go through to marginally improve an already beautiful image.

This is an amazing shot. The lights, building and water look great, but the sky looks almost unreal. I don't know if that's the effect of shining bright lights on moving clouds over a long period of time, but it just seems so unusual. Regardless, this is a beautiful photo - one of my favorites from the challenge.
