Horseby maelmsComment: The general composition here is not interesting, it shows a habit, but doesn't really have much of a compelling story to tell or get any emotional reaction from me. That said, I like the colors and exposure, the light is nice a diffused and gives everything a nice soft cast that enhances the details. |

another kind of playgroundby boogieComment: I really like this photo - it's so poignant - the legacy of litter and garbage and the child making his own toy of kicking a bottle around is a wonderful understatement. The lines of the ground really help to bring the composition together, giving order to an otherwise chaotic foreground. You have a great eye - I like the choice to place the boy off-center and heading off the frame, it gives the sight greater desolation and hopelessness, as if everyone has given up. |

13 Steps Lead Down --- Again and Again and Again and Againby jcurran25Comment: I thought I commented on this photo but those notes must not have "taken" - so here goes again:
I really like the colors here, the isolation of the red is really fun. The composition of the lines in the triangle forms and then steps all leading our eye through the frame is really well done - I like the DOF and the textures you captured. |

Midnight Secretby janoComment: I like the exposure - the highlight across the index finger is very strong and brings the composition together. I like the softness of it but think perhaps it's too blurry. |

Junior, stop it please....by exbeComment: Good color, but the shadow feels like it dominates and the subject is not crisp enough for the topic or composition. |

Please, Just This Once?by frychiknComment: A little underexposed but the shot tells a great story - I can see it very clearly. Did you experiment with more extreme angles ... something shot more from a long angle on the table might have been more compelling. |

Picking A Winnerby EmerauldeComment: A bit overexposed, but it does help with the composition, with the creases around they eye leading the eye toward the nose and fingers. Not a shot I'd frame and put on my wall, but definitely the only sincere "nose picking" photo of the bunch, so you get an extra point from me. |

Nail Bitingby scalvertComment: Nicely shot - well framed, I like the skin tones and though it's slightly overexposed on her cheeks, I dont' mind it because it gives us the bright glint in her eye. It looks like she was having fun, which is sometimes the hardest thing of all to shoot. |

Feeding the Habitby mariomelComment: The choice of a cold colored duotone really sells this as a bitter world of desolation. I like the composition with the figure set far back in the frame and the repetition of the sunlight and shadows with the darkness above (rather forboding). I wish it was just a little crisper so I could make out more details. Excellent, evocative shot. At first I scored it as a six, but I just bumped it up to an eight. |

Gaffiti, Bad habit.by cabaComment: I think the blues you captured and their relationship to the sky is just wonderful - the contrast with the rust really helps to bring it out. I wonder if a more off-center composition with the center column would help provide just a little more visual interest. I think it was a worthy subject for this challenge. |
