A delicate touchby pineappleComment: Hard to fit this into a "portrait" per say, as it's a candid moment really.
Cute expression and good subject to record and preserve forever, just not fitting well into this challenge in my opinion.
( cherish the shot regardless of what I or anyone else says) |

like mother .. like daughter... by mojoflowerchickComment: This is far too harsh and the shadows are hurting this a lot.
Any picture is better than no picture when it comes to preserving the moment, but the harshness and lack of happiness doesn't make this a very good portrait in terms of a competition. |

Certainly one to cherish though and a moment that will last a lifetime. |

But.
Disregard any low scores on this - this is a precious moment preserved forever. |

Sistersby sfmorrisComment: Sisters? I'd say twins - oh - that would make them sisters huh?
;)
This is a good shot, but needs some adjustments in post-processing.
If you have Photoshop CS2, open it as it is, go to shadow/highlight tool, click Show more options, and adjust to the following numbers top to bottom:
20 | 50 | 30 | 0 | 50 | 30 | 0.01 | 0.01 and click OK.
Then Image, Adjustments, Auto-Contrast. Then Image, Adjustments, Photo filter and accept the default warmer at 25%. Then Image adjustments, Hue/Saturation and add 20%. That will get this a lot closer than it is in the challenge. There are a lot of other steps that can be/could be done with 3rd party filters & actions, but for a quick basics, this gets it pretty close. |

Misery's Companyby rcrawfordComment: Hard to fit this into a "portrait" per say, as it's a candid moment really.
Good shot regardless. The depth of field here works well to isolate the 2 men form the background. |

Suspicionby zarniwoopComment: Great mix of expressions here, but is just a bit of a stretch as far as a "portrait" is concerned as it's a candid moment really. Good shot though - love life's moments that pass by in a blink and so often are never seen, yet are frozen forever with our cameras. |

Sistersby silverscreenComment: A very pleasant portrait, but there is something jut a bit over the top regarding the intensity & colors in the background. |
