Sunday Afternoon Strollby JeileenComment: Excellent bird but the image has some serious problems. a) Way too contrasty b) halo effect around the bird's neck c) Beak is too close to the right edge d) Border is very distracting. The colors are nice and complement the goose nicely. |

crane at sunsetby fstopopenComment: This image has loads of potential - an excellent scene - very graceful pose of the bird. But I'm afraid your post processing technique to give the water an orange cast is way too obvious: a) With the lighting as shown - the bird's would be more of a sihlouette - not so white. b) You can see the "real" colors through the brances of the shrubs, around the rocks, and around the bird's legs. |

Soft evening light on Loch Arkletby geewhyComment: Beautiful scene taken at the perfect time of day. The muted colors create such a calming effect. I could look at this for some time without tiring of it. |

Breaking Throughby muur88Comment: I love the layering effect of the bands of color, it gives the photo a lot of depth. Although it is dead center (the bright area) - it seems ok for me - nice to be able to "break the rules" and end up with a great image. Try this for a title - bet it will score higher, "World War 4 starts!" |

The Ruinby e301Comment: Looks like a painting - and a well-done one at that. The colors are a bit "unreal" which adds to the effect. Sky is dynamite. Border a bit strong. |

Rachelby dsa157Comment: What captivating eyes and very well captured. I love her expression as well - a true portraint rather than a snapshot. B&W well handled. |
