This photo is very contrasty, almost posterized looking. As for composition, the crop is way too tight on the right. The animal has to have a place to go.

Seems over sharpened. Nice detail in the body, but the head and background look strange.

Excellent bird but the image has some serious problems. a) Way too contrasty b) halo effect around the bird's neck c) Beak is too close to the right edge d) Border is very distracting. The colors are nice and complement the goose nicely.

A bit high on the saturation for my taste. Some over sharpening, too (one of my challanges!) The main issue that I have is the lack of highlight and shadow detail. I know how hard it is to shoot these suckers in direct sunlight, especially at the start and end of the day. Good luck and keep shooting... They are a worthy subject!

Way over sharpened. Harsh light. Evidence of tampering in the background. Sorry but all the messing you did with this picture spoils it for me. 4 - floyd

Nice crop, I like the frame. The subject is also interesting, but you and I both seem to use too much USM. :-) well done good luck 7

Nice goose. The DOF seems almost artifical and there seems to be cloning effects visible of some kind. Could be wrong but something about the background stands out as odd to me.

Its too backlit, no detail in the face. Also the glass seems to have motion blur rather than OOF.
