Never a Day Without Charminby wwwavengerComment: Bonus points for the good concept. Pretty nice execution: reasonably sharp across the image, but you need to set the white balance when you shoot or use your editing program to remove the red tungsten-light cast. |

Ice cold, Stella Artoiseby PixelstateComment: Reasonably nice shot, I like the design and long shutter is nice for the flowing look of the beer, but the image is generally flat, and there' slots of noise in the background. There's no "E" in Stella Artoris. Almost there, need work on the technical aspects. |

Heaven Scentby peeceeComment: Outstanding sharpness over the whole product, and the background supports rather than distracts from the concept. I would have liked to seen more background around the product, without the little triangle. |

Lindsay Olive - A Tradition of Qualityby bledfordComment: Beautiful shot, but the product isn't the "center of attention", and the upper edge of the label is out of focus. For advertising, the props must support the product, not the other way around. |

The Yellow Pages. Let your fingers do the walking.by zeke123caComment: the plant (?) in the background is very distracting, and doesn't add to the message -- had the background been out-of-place (for example in front of a auto dealer) and conveying the message of WHERE the yellow pages will walk you to, it would support the message. |

Candle Litby DianaBComment: Hey there -- I know voting is closed, and enough people ragged on the focus, so I won't mention that. ;) Anyway, here's a tip; photography is about light, so think about how light travels, how it changes when it strikes object, and -- here's the suggestion for this shot -- how it travels through things. The oil bottle might have been stunning if it were lit from behind. |

lay down your tracksby PixelproseComment: cool idea, but marred by a couple of technical details: the frog (the real name of that wedge thing in the middle) isn't centered -- cropping in photoshop would have been totally appropriate; the sky is almost completely blown out as is the rail on the right; and I might suggest a little more saturation in Pshop as some was lost due to the over-exposure. A potentially very nice shot. |
