into the cornfieldby posthumousComment: Like the picture, hate the framing. it takes so much away from the figure, and rather than drawing my attention to the picture it draws my attention to the sat/desat border. In this case, anyway. |

Follow Steve's Footprints, And You Will Find Himby AlainComment: Not sure if there was any need for the Victorian gothic histrionics in the processing. I say this because the line between beach and sky is a major part of this picture and you've ruined it with the sharpening etc. It's a great composition and it is suitably moody, but the sky is messed up and so is the top part of the sands. you should either have toned down the processing or shot it so it would stand up to the kind of processing you wanted to do. I have nothing against this kind of enhancement, it's just that in this case I feel it's ruined what could have been a great shot.
Just my opinion, and quite possibly not worth listening to, but it's only fair for me to tell you why you dropped a few points for me. Oh and if you didn't mess around with it in the processing, then I apologise, but it still looks messed up. |

Coconutsby shadowComment: Lovely: the blown highlights give a beautiful feathering around the hard outlines, while the tree itself is full of detail and texture. Nice compostition with the trunk coming out from the corner.
It doesn't really inspire any emotion in me. Maybe I'm just in the wrong mood, but the subject seems ill-defined. I'm not saying the photos should only ever have one subject, but it does seem as if you're trying to do too much. There's the beautiful play of light and dark among the branches, there's the texture of the tree trunk, there's branches your eye follows out only to reach the edge of the frame. |

Titanium Dreamsby RikkiComment: This is fantastic, not only do I like the composition but I also love the fact that you controlled the reflections: there's no glare or blown highlights. The smooth texture works well with the title, but the sky is a little too deep for my tastes. |
