The Old Elm Treeby jomariComment: The leaves and sky, strongly set off from the trunks and branches, are beautifully shown. Has the light done this or is it helped along by some wonderful post-processing? Has the feel of a watercolor painting. Very fine photograph. |

The tree that would not give upby NeatComment: Good title. The tree is leaning forward (to grossly anthropomorphize) in its effort. The entire setting is appealing, from the field of grasses to the meek wire fence to the horizon of low trees to the dark sky. I also like the overall softness. |

intreegingby LydiaComment: Along with the impressive luxuriance of the tree's leaves, this picture is comical in an understated way --- a brigade of wall-e-like characters ready for action. Or garbage cans, whatever. I like the framing that allows the foreground to continue opening outward. |
