Pondby HUETHComment: Music for the eyes. One could say that the three elements, flowers and petals, yellow-green reeds and dark shadows of the reeds, are an harmonious chord. The water feels more like sky than water, at least for me. Each element can take a bow as they come forward and settle back. Lovely. Camera as brush.

Nerines in the Grassby jomariComment: How nice, a warning sign that says 'please.' The eyes carom about like pinballs, then you head home for lunch.

Gigi the greatby NeatComment: It's either Moonlight Sonata or Chopsticks, can't quite make out the fingering. Too cute -- said without embarrassment. And pardon the pun, but classic. Was the piano acquired to match the pooch, or vice versa? Nice tight framing and elegant composition. Hope the dog has a union card. |

Robberfly on the electric fenceby rozComment: Nice title for a novel. Stunning capture. The detail is fantastic. the colors of the compound eye are mesmerizing. The roundness of the upper body is so curious that you are puzzled. Lovely green background. |

Naptime by MaryOComment: A fun image, the dog camouflaged against a flowery, paisley arm chair. Beautifully done. Sepia is perfect. No less so than a tiger in tall grass. |

Big Stepby PennyStreetComment: The sense of harsh rectilinear grid is overwhelmed by curves and an outpouring of organic realities. In this way the image is hopeful and reassuring. Fine dramatic flow. |

April Kissby skewsmeComment: Alternative title: Just Add Sunlight. Wondrously sweet dramatic sigh of that kiss. The yellow leaves flashing like gold coins have you stop and catch your breath. Then all the red tones, including the pink array in the background, bring a subtler intensity to the scene. From such moments fairy tales are born.

daily runby NiallOTuamaComment: A tightly spun adventure in glorious black and white. The blown out tones give an expansive immediacy to the scene. The person in the wheelchair and the dog come off as heroic. I've never been able to tenderly treat rows of parked cars, but here we go. Enormously satisfying.
