Love the Emerald City effect. And the glowing softness that unifies the city, a tumult of architecture. Beautifully framed by the dark foliage in the foreground and, in the background, the embrace of a languid sky. With all those lit windows the scene looks like a phantasmagoric punch card. Fine processing. Luminous.

This image has a charming musical quality, flutes and percussion. The sunlight and shadows dance along the architecture. It also has a maze-like feel. Clean and compelling. Fine photograph.

The Bridge

So many interesting ways to construct a leading line. Gritty and mesmerizing. The out of focus foreground - I like it - launches the viewer into far distance. The lights are especially entrancing. Seems to carry a mysterious weight beyond cars and trucks.

Water, The Gift of Life

This flat plain blossoms into a bounty of lines, as per the challenge, and also gives so much more delight. The road and verge lead to a vanishing point. Then there are the fence lines and the vertical lines of the storm issuing from a horizontal feast of clouds. Very "North By Northwest"-ish. The varied parts nicely come together.

Interesting take on these structures almost in silhouette. They seem to be undecided about whether they're real or graphic, lending a light tension to the scene. The scratchiness adds to the mystery. And the tree at right, too. Compelling.

Mesmerized at the Train Museum

You can see this child's fascination and even longing, at least that's my projecting take. The lit up face draws immediate attention. Handsome black and white, deep and dark within and then opening to the brighter outside. Nice detail. Follow your dreams, adventure beckons.

Looks like a deliberately overblown HDR. And it works, at least for me. The souped up colors and sky lend a crackly urgency to the image. Drive safe.
The window itself, even from within a car, is not quite evident.

The structure is on its last legs, it appears, but the mountains abide. Feels like inside and outside are one and the same. Nice color palette. Seems like a good spot to sit down, lean against the wall and have a sandwich.

Hard to make out the components, I'm guessing a kitchen sink, but evocative with a muted modesty. I like it, the composition, the dynamic tilt, the blown out windows.

Nice epitome of Chicago. This could be an alcove in a museum and a painting that perfectly fits the space. Trompe l'oeil. Very appealing.
