Mountain Lion by moodvilleComment: Congrats Moodville! I can't make out the zipper, but I know there has to be a chimp in there somewhere. ;-) |

"Back" Cover Girlby DougPazComment: I am just appalled that this didn't finish somewhere in the top 5. I seriously thought this would be a ribbon. Oh well, at least I got to enjoy skiprow's comment. ;-) |

Shadowboxerby scalvertComment: Yow! 6.284 is only good enough for 21% percentile. Now THAT'S some quality competition!
FWIW, I didn't care much for the blurry shadow overlap either, but there wasn't a whole lot I could do about it (having waited until the last day). I got a lot of comments suggesting more light on the model's face... but if the light is stronger in the front, where does that put the shadow? LOL |

The Guitaristby timj351Comment: To me, the high grain and blown highlights detract from the image. The fact that the grain isn't uniform, suggests that it's not intentional. |

Early Morning Seascape by jonpinkComment: Beautiful color and composition. A little grainy at the bottom (either low light/high ISO or a bit oversharpened). One of the better landscapes in the group. (8) |

Kookaburraby moodvilleComment: Really great capture. Nice catchlight and detail. The background colors look like a studio backdrop. Would have scored well in Wildlife. (9) |

All the way out- 448mm equivalent at f/5.6 for 1/50 of a second. I touched the glass with the edge of the lens hood to help steady the camera. |

"Back" Cover Girlby DougPazComment: Outstanding creativity. The blue ribbon really picks up the color in her eyes. (12) ;-) |
