Oh, I never thought about the cup handle but yes, I am left handed so well spotted. Yes, I like my Espresso but this was instant as I wasn't going to let a decent coffee go cold lol. Francesca (my oh) prefers a ristretto but that would have had me bouncing off the walls.

As for the light painting, the window was covered but still needed some ND filters to get things darker, then yes, grabbed my £3.99 torch with homemade snoot then painted away - it's a really cool thing to try.

Did you flip this or are you left handed? :-) Or did it just look better this way? :-)))) And it looks like you drink "proper" coffee !!!
Just curious, you shot this in the dark and used a torch to "paint" the light in? Very beautifully done.
Lovely shot all round.

The body fur is a touch over sharpened for me and the left edge is slightly off true though correcting it might alter the cats great positioning. However, the rest is just divine, from the lighting (and treatment of it) to the composition and the 'DIY' marks on the background add a little intrigue.

All topped off with those little claw marks in the upholstery.

Apologies for my earlier (speed) vote so bumping +2 to an 8

Love your creativity here Susan :) From the thumb I thought they were baseballs but seeing what you did 'garnished' another 1 from me. And, until typing this I thought the stitches were sewn on not stapled.

For me the central spot of light in the window is a little hot but the rest is so subtle and I love it! It's a pretty mundane setting but you have turned it into something quite dramatic for me (thank-you)

Thanks for tha answer to the question I was coming back to ask Susan. Jeez, did you have to submit 15 originals? (always wondered about that).

A cool shot that certainly fits the brief. Thanks for the 'how I did this', in voting I thought you may have been lying down.

That is a fine Dram Lydia and I hope your children scolded you for wasting 'their' single malt! You could have used cold tea or even water. Oh and for the record don't let the kids drink that from shot glasses - it's to be savoured not swigged ;)

Cool, I bought a Penguin to chop up and fit to my 5Dii but couldn't bring myself to chop it. I have chopped another folder but yet to attach it to the dSLR.

If I were well read I'd say "Four Quartets - 3 The Dry Salvages" but as I'm not I won't ;)

I love this picture, it's simple and beautiful at the same time so bumping 1 point.
