Midnight Mist by RulerZigzagComment: Beautiful colours and excellent clarity. This appears to be slightly oversharpened, but it doesn't really detract from the overall effect - which is silky smooth and quite lovely overall. |

The Violin's Soulby fotodudeComment: Beautiful. I like the lighting on this, and the rather shallow DOF definitely works in favour of the photograph's mood. Focus is great and the details are at just the right level. |

Chopsticks across ramen 01by DigichromeComment: Interesting take and very nicely lit. The simplicity of this and the slight amount of colour give this real appeal. I like the centered composition - good job. |

Drawbridgeby AzrifelComment: Lovely. The black and white with deep shadows really gives this the peculiar feel of unreality... it's both appealing and a little disconcerting. The branches coming down really add to the slight unease, which is in strong contrast with the picturesque buildings. Very interesting image that is lots of fun to examine closely! |

Yellow Door Expressby jjbeguinComment: Gorgeous! The desaturation really works for this; the yellow draws the eyes to the top of the bridge and the deeply shadowed black and white really give the scene a delicious sense of foreboding. Brilliantly composed and wonderfully clear. Fantastic work! |

South Bridgeby NovaTigerComment: Nice close up of a motherboard! Via chipset, huh? :) Looks like a K7 series, so AMD? Great focus and this is quite the unique take on the challenge... though many people won't get it :) |

Bridge to the Afterlifeby DannyMComment: Interesting take on this challenge. I would have liked to see just a tad more contrast, and I think this could have been a bit more appealing if the sign were not quite so centered, but this is a nice picture nonetheless. The textures here are excellent, and the approach is unique. |

Grace in Steelby nsmithComment: The simplicity of this is very appealing, with the graceful combination of smooth curves and cool, unyielding steel. The soft colours and faint lines of clouds in the sky really add a sense of completeness to this - lovely and nicely done. |

Underneath...looking up.by Richie23Comment: I love this. The angle is excellent - although the subject is identifiable, the unique view gives it an abstract feel that really appeals to me. The focus is great, and the white (sky?) really seems to work here. Beautiful work. |
