Branching Out!by cmstysComment: It is difficult to make out what, exactly your subject is here. They appear to be interesting bugs, or perhaps crabs of some sort. The backlighting has obviously created problems for this image causing you to lose detail in the critters' sides. Other than that, it doesn't exactly scream "branch"--it could be a tree trunk, or a hill of dirt. |

Branches of a womanby WilltorecordComment: The evidence of technical ablity is here--in focus, well toned image. But take away the challenge topic (which you have admittedly stretched) and what do you have? |

Zeppelin IV - Man With The Branchesby ShermyComment: This subject had potential, but the difficult lighting situation has led to blown highlights. The focus seems soft--perhaps a bit more contrast and sharpening would help. The composition is ordinary--I don't think centering the subject helps add dynamic to your image. Because the background is complicated it is difficult for the eye to separate the branches on the man's back--the point is thus lost. |

reaching for heavenby melodeeComment: You have met the challenge topically, but I don't see any other reason to be interested in this image. |

My Branch!by PurpleFireComment: Nice bird picture. The under-exposure loses much of the interesting detail in the feathers. It would be nice to see a bit of light in the eye--as it is, the tip of the beak draws attention and then the eye hunts for something more to interest it... |

Meandering Youthby ephesusComment: The tendril is an interesting choice for this challenge, I just wish I could see the vine it came from--regardless, it doesn't fit the challenge well, in my opinion. Though you have chosen to limit the depth of field, a blurrier background could add more drama. The highlights are a bit blown out as well. |

Lying in the grass, next to the mausoleum.by sumpComment: I feel this already enigmatic photo suffers from odd choices made in post-processing. The sky has become quite oddly pink and the blue fringing attracts attention. These color shifts could add interest to an already strong photo with a well-defined subject, just not this one. |

flower in the beachby Luifer_9d9Comment: Pretty flower. I don't think I've ever seen one among the sea-grapes--must not be there at the right time of year. I think your composition is a bit cluttered--the brown wood on the beach and the twigs in the background don't really add to the image--and worse, they seem to be the only thing connecting this image to the challenge topic. Sorry, just the way I see it. |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment: This image is lacking in technique. The constrast is rather shallow. The far branch competes with, rather than compliments, the head of the lizard.
As for the challenge topic...your title says it. This is a lizard on a branch, not a branch with a lizard on it. |
