The end of the lineby spillerComment: What an unusual find. This picture raises more quesitons than it answers--good conversation piece. Exposure, cropping are nice, but I wish they sky was not so flat, it causes loss of definition in the tree tops. |

Lustby galaxyzComment: Interesting abstract quality. The highlights on the grilling show up a little too bright for my tastes though focusing on the background is a unique choice. Color is attractive. |

End of the lineby BrennanOBComment: Seems like train cars were just "made" to be canvasses for rust! Nice duotonic effect. The lens angle caused some convergence in the seam lines that detracts in a (very minor) way. |

Rust (Closeup)by kevrobertsonComment: The crackling paint revealing the rust is an interesting subject. The dramatic/abstract quality might be stronger with a closer crop. Weakened colors make an interesting contrast to many of the other photos in the challenge which go the opposite way. |

Good Ol' Rustyby Zap228Comment: The subject itself is interesting. Choice to crop out the tip of the nail creates interesting tension along with the limited depth of field. The plain background might create more interest (for me) if the resulting negative space were itself interesting. Think the processing is grainy and the color just a little too unreal--but maybe that's what you were going for... |

Rusted Rail to the Seaby theSajComment: The leading lines are a nice idea--I like the way it begins by filling the entire bottom of the photo. Unfortunately, I just don't see anything specific to be led to. Seems like a dramatic lead to a so-so conclusion. |

Even one Oddby Melly8522Comment: I like this subject--well framed, too. Seems unfortunate that the sun causes loss of detail in the trees on the left--perhaps a different time of day and a cooperative sky? |

Rust and Farming: Inseparableby kposeyComment: The subject is there but I think the focus could be sharper and the distracting wires at top cropped out. The diagonal division of red and green was a good idea. |

Guggenheim Museumby lpnycComment: This could be an interesting picture, just can't tell because of the small size. Perhaps there's some rust in there, somewhere? The perspective is interesting. |
