Sitting, standing or crawlingby pitsamanComment: Nice composition--I like that you kept space on the left side, it provides balance to the strong subjects. The gaze of the one animal is intense--helps make this zoo picture amusing. Great detail in the fur. Nice lights in the eyes. Wish it had less of a domesticated feeling about it. |

Flowers VS Fruitby KrisComment: On it's own the bowl with fruit would make and interesting still=life study. There's good lighting there with enough detail in the shadow. The out-of-focus flowers are not a good addition to the composition. |

Double Sixby MAKComment: Lighting from the right to divide the dark and light - nice. The focus is off on the near dominos and not really sharp at any point. |

Too Late.by CamComment: Wow! The first "product" shot in the challenge. (And I'm on photo 274--gotta be a first.) Nice light and crisp rendering of the WD-40 can. Think the plane should be more in focus, though. |

Untitledby FrostyPawsComment: Interesting scrap of metal--has a quality of paper about it. Casual context seems appropriate. Thought it was the shadow on the left that bothered me about this but it seems to be the little light spot in the bottom left corner instead--go figure. |

gate viewby JACKIE BIRDComment: Interesting composition, disturbing somehow. (That's not necessarily bad.) Think I would have mobed a bit left to include the end of the broken x against the white and to see the axel on the wheel--maybe that's why it causes tension for me. |

Rust on a Hot Tin Roofby banmornComment: I like that this shows varieties of rust in various stages. Nice abstract quality, but it's broken a bit (to me) by the strong horizontal from the upper left. Still, sharp, good focus, o.k. depth. |

"Forgotten Memories"by tfarrell23Comment: Like the angle of the light but not how hazy it makes the entire upper left and corner. Background could be less distracting, though I like the texture and color of the gravel. Is that bluish streak a lens artifact on the water tank portion of the toy? It detracts. |
