Tropical Purgatoryby MUZICMANn8Comment: Very emotive image! I like that you limited the depth of field to the woman and the wall, it seems to add to the sense of separation from the life she has and the one she does not. Luck! |

Bored, waiting for the busby pbaarnComment: Love the color and lines in this candid! I think your title does nothing to honor your subject, though. He could be so tired he's napping, he could be so sad he's quietly crying.... One of my top pics. Good luck! |

Poisedby zeuszenComment: Lovely capture of the heron poised for the strike! The pattern made by the water gives a great texture to the background, but the color of the water is not so appealing (though it is perhaps natural). Nice composition! Luck. |

Caged CATby redmondson01Comment: This would be much better without the pole intersecting the subject. I won't quibble that sport car racing is a team sport, but those who showed pit crews came much closer to conveying that. |

Blades of Steelby Toby-DogComment: Perhaps you could have cropped to reduce the bright spot at the left, or recomposed the shot to eliminate lens flare. It would be nice to see the blade mentioned in the title--without first-hand knowledge of hockey skates it's really difficult to tell what this is. |

View from the rough - The Ryder Cup 2004by kevrobertsonComment: The out of focus or blurred grass really detracts from this composition. The blade whick nearly bisects the image horizontally and the blade or thick twig at the bottom interrupt the flow of the lines. Cute sense of humor for the challenge, but on its own it really conveys nothing of "sport". |

Bowling !by sfaliceComment: The lighting is interesting and I like the reflections on the ball. The composition seems tipped a bit. Interesting idea, but I don't think the pin supposedly being knocked down actually works in this--not evident enough, I guess. |

Out of boundsby jmritzComment: What wonderful color and texture this image has! The only (minor) drawback is the mysterious black rubber-like thing at the bottom. On the other hand, I do like that the twigs cross the basketball in the composition. Good luck! |

"Hey, Mrs. D., can Joe come out to play?"by martinawComment: This pic has a nice feel to it--almost nostagic. You've made an interesting composition from these items--love the worn out / well-used quality of the subjects. Good luck with the challenge! |
