A nice reinterpretation of "Over the Top" -- it continues the story nicely. I really like your lighting, it has a lot of "pop" but in comparison with the other, it seems that the backlighting and use of negative space is what helped create the sucess of the original. However, your image stands nicely on its own. Lovely texture and detail in this image!

Thank you for all your kind comments! I knew when I entered it that it was risky...there are a lot of new members here and some who take drops very seriously. The humor isn't evident and sarcasm, even when self-directed, can fall flat. I have learned much with my "drops" photos and will probably produce more when the mood (or excuse) strikes me.

Many asked what the little eyes were and where they came from. I'll post an image to explain soon. (Just a little busy today with Yellow Revisited.)

I see you've been "validated"--I wouldn't claim to know how this was done, but my imagination can suggest some possibilities... Hope you place well in the challenge but, regardless, you've created an image to be proud of, I'm sure.

This is just too sweet! I love the colors and the angle of the lines in the surface below. The crop feels unbalanced, to me...perhaps a little more inclusion on the left or a different angle to crop the right. Lighting is expertly handled in what could not be an easy shot.
