Mist in the Gorgeby gzuprukComment: Ah...the unmistakable Taughannock Falls! I love the silvery effect in the water but wish the horizon weren't tilted as much. Still, cold and powerful! |

The Snake at Duskby emily212Comment: Seems familiar to me...looks like the Susquehanna River shot from the Exchange Street Bridge in Binghamton, NY! If it is, I can't say I miss those gray skies... Very serene. I like the blues and how cold they make everything feel. |

Stakeout: Mission Paradiseby anthonyczajaComment: Very nice! It has that sense of fashion model about it...glamorous. I do think, however, that lighting could be improved a in two places. Some reflected fill light could ease the harsh shadow cast by the nose. And somehow back-lighting to prevent the second half of the glasses from merging with the void...perhaps it would have only taken a half step into the light toward the camera to pull up that detail. Even so, the image has immediate impact. The colors are a delight. The expression serious without being overly self-conscious. Nicely done! |

Ripples Abstract 086.jpgby bennettjamieComment: Nice abstract. Color and texture play a huge part in the success of this image but, mostly, here you are shooting the light. Always shoot the light and let the subject take care of itself. |

Visual Aidby ace flymanComment: Okay, I'm convinced, putting glasses on a dog is funny! Especially when the image is well composed and the dog in question is a natural ham. |

Beware the Glareby dsrayComment: Beware, also, wide-angle lenses on large nosed people. Not so flattering... But the humor and the engagement of subject with camera keep my interest. |
