Hello. I like what you are trying to do with this image. I almost wonder if you should increase the image size. I find images that are smaller in dimension tend to not do as well in challenges. Also, I recently read that at least something in the image should be sharp and in focus. You may want to try a tripod. But this is a good choice for this challenge.

Believe it or not, I think any camera could have captured this shot. It was a very grey mist and the water was extremely still - a great advantage to living in Victoria, British Columbia at this time of the year.

My wife is very upset with me because I beat her in this challenge. ;) We took photos the same morning separately, and didn't tell each other our subject, etc., until the entries were on DPChallenge. I actually thought hers would do better, so this ribbon was a nice surprise. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments. You guys are very encouraging and I hope I can live up to this in the future. I was very lucky that we woke up to mist on the lake that morning.

I play piano and took music theory up to my neck when I was in university. This image really brings back memories. I only wish I could have had some silence like this back then. I like the way you did this image and I wish you luck on the challenge. I thing you should do really well.
