| I play piano and took music theory up to my neck when I was in university. This image really brings back memories. I only wish I could have had some silence like this back then. I like the way you did this image and I wish you luck on the challenge. I thing you should do really well. |

| The definition of music is "Sound in time." Good take on the challenge. Composition, (I) would include a hand with pen prepared to write. Good photo. 8 |

| I like this idea and the shallow DOF you have used. I'd suggest tilting the pad a little and also including a touch more of the metal binding. |

| this shot is an interesting interpretation of the challenge.. depth of field is good.. detail is great.. might have been better if more of the ring binding was in the shot.. but it's overall a very simple shot and an origonal interpretation of the challenge.. |

| A fine example of a nice subject. It's alwas a pleasure to me to see such a nice photo that grabs the theme nicelly. Excellent DOF and focus. Its an 8 to me! |

| the narrow DOF doesn't work for me in this image...there is too little to look at even though it is a clever response to the challenge |

| Not sure I understand your title. The image is engagingly empty and evokes a sense of silence in the absence of notes. The metal rings are a nice element. The placement of the G clef and meter in the frame is perfects (though I don't know why it's not on the "top" lines?) Your unique take on the theme got you "extra credit" ;) |
