I like it. Made me think of the Denver Bronco immediately for some reason and since they are MY team, you get an extra point. I like the simple but creative approach to the challenge. I'd have liked to see the DOF extended to get paint at bottom in sharp focus, but that's a minor detail.

Very nice lighting on both subject and background to give separation. I might have removed a bit more of the green stem but, hey, that's just me.

Unfortunately, your image has the same predominant fault as my submission, the DOF is a bit too shallow. Wish I'd have recognized it earlier. Still a nice effort that I bet you learned something from.

Very nice focus and lighting but I think it needs to be cropped much tighter as there is way too much stem included for this challenge.

Really cool concept but not too blown away by the execution. Lots of dead space on left and something just weird (can't really put my finger on it) about the purple coloring. DOF works pretty good.

Lighting is really harsh and I don't see any significant amounts of yellow or red, which according to the challenge details would be the complimentary colors to purple or green respectively.
