I always thought these shots looked so cool so I finally decided to try one. It was more work than I thought and there are still a few kinks to be worked out, but for now I tried.

Crop, Saturation, Unshap Mask, NeatImage

Wow, thanks for all the great comments. For everyone that wanted to know how I did this here it goes........

Starting at the bottom I have a piece of black matte board.
I filled the large glass with water leaving enough room for the displacement of water from the second glass. The small glass I turned upside down and put in the larger glass. I had to let some air out so that the glass would stay at the bottom. The background was 2 pieces of construction paper taped together and propped up about a foot behind the glass. I had 2 light sources, 1 on the left and 1 on the right. Both placed behind the glass pointing towards the background.

I tried many times until i got everything pretty much how I wanted it to look. Repositioning everything until there were no reflections or bubbles or other imperfections showing.

Thanks again for all the comments.

Very DPCish. Seems tilted to the left, no? Still a 7

I love these refraction shots. Excellent on the glasses. Only complaint is the base could be a little more black and the image seems slightly angled.

Not sure how you did this one, but it's very nice. I wish the saturation was boosted just a little, though.

Would like it even more if the colors ran all the up under the glass

Outstanding; the 2nd glass is a nice twist. It's a shame about the black at the bottom, though.

haha.. nice. The classic glass against split background, but with a real twist.
I like it, but is this actually 640pix? seems a bit small to me.

This is done many times, but I still like this one. Just wondering how you filled the water in the small glass. Nice.

This looks cool and I love the upside down glass within the glass and its reflection.

I've seen a similar image somewhere else on the site... points taken away for lack of originality, but you have met the challenge nicely.6

5 - Colors seem ok. Base detracts slightly in my opinion. Overall, a little too close to previous Challenges that to enter a shot like this is taking a certain risk in my opinion, has to be 'extra good', if that makes sense. This with a variation as mentioned in the base and overall a lot cleaner.. likely help this in my opinion. Just doesn't hold my attention/interest enough.
