Who is the true chess genius? A beautiful game and you’ve captured a nice sample of players. I’d like to see a few more images to complete this collection. What do you think of including a series of gestures and postures of one player during a game? Keep this essay in mind and pick the low hanging fruit.

I agree with Don about the first picture. Probably my greatest thrill in photography is stumbling on moments like this. For me it’s the hunt more than what I return home with.

Resolving each of your images doesn’t come easy. The content of the overlaid photographs is so disparate. At the same time this ambiguity is attractive and with the recurring window you’ve found a way to make them play together. You have offered clues to how we arrived at this place but left us plenty of room to make the experience our own. Complex yet simple - it’s all in right there in front of us. Very enjoyable!

Black and white just wouldn’t do these streets justice. The warm tones bursting through black negative space or black holes punched through timeless street scenes. My perspective changes depending on where my eye travels. I can see why you were drawn to this subject and chosen presentation. Masterfully done and very engaging. Always a treat to see you work and even better in a series.
