You've captured warmth at every corner... wonderful shadows at play. I think my favorite is the last with the figures dancing on the wall. Lovely set.

Beautiful play of light and shadow, with colors that fill the senses. This series is a joy to view. The fact that it reminds me of my own trip to Italy three years ago adds a quiet layer of nostalgia for me.

Black and white just wouldn’t do these streets justice. The warm tones bursting through black negative space or black holes punched through timeless street scenes. My perspective changes depending on where my eye travels. I can see why you were drawn to this subject and chosen presentation. Masterfully done and very engaging. Always a treat to see you work and even better in a series.

I get a very strange sensation from these photos, and certainly one that only an essay can achieve. It is difficult to explain, but I will try, and it has to do with the frame.

The photographer decides what is in the frame, and also what is out of frame. This is perhaps the most important thing a photographer does. With these shadows, I feel like the frame has come into the photo, it even comes into some of the people in the photo. But it feels more like a gift than a violation (though really a little of both).

I feel like you're generously showing us the world outside of the photograph, but the only way you can do that is by leaving it dark. It's quite a profound magic trick. It's almost as though I could close my eyes and step into these photos.

Delicious colour. You've captured a crowded solitude between shadows, architecture and culture. I need to immerse myself with more viewing and get back with more comment.

A conjugality between Edward Hopper and Trent Parke. So it's a good thing you're a wedding photographer,
Beautiful, rich, pictures. A visual espresso where the colour is so deep it has a taste, and the froth of it attaches to the walls of the cup, leaving you astonished that so much intensity can be concentrated into one brief experience.
Superior stuff, Clive.
