| An engaging series. I particularly like the first and last shots. There is a similarity between the expression of the older man behind the glass in the first, and the V for Vendetta mask on the black queen and bucket in the last shot. In fact there are subtle references all throughout the essay of one kind or another. I like the essays open ended nature within the seemingly tight format. Well done. |

Who is the true chess genius? A beautiful game and you̢۪ve captured a nice sample of players. I̢۪d like to see a few more images to complete this collection. What do you think of including a series of gestures and postures of one player during a game? Keep this essay in mind and pick the low hanging fruit.
I agree with Don about the first picture. Probably my greatest thrill in photography is stumbling on moments like this. For me it̢۪s the hunt more than what I return home with.

| I really enjoyed these. It's a great subject for an essay. The looks of concentration and tension mixed with the non-movement of the game. |

| I wish all the photos were as stunning as this one, but even so, the cumulative effect is good. I like being immersed in chess this way. I love the idea of GAMES and having smaller essays about different games, each with its own feeling |
