Hot Wheelsby DamianComment: Good use of DOF. Background and carpet are distracting, should have been even color. |

Glyphsby alanbataarComment: Great idea! Too bad the lighting is uneven, try two lamps instead of one. |

Ghost Wheelsby laybackComment: Weird! Would have been better with the lights extending to the back. You would need to use rear curtain flash for that though, or have the car drive backwards. |

Lost Umbrellaby elsapoComment: Nice composition, lighting maybe a bit harsh, seems a tiny bit unsharp |

Flute-playing Shadowby nicoledbComment: Originally posted by MusicAngel: i think the flute is the wrong way for how the hands are facing...other than that i like it tho! and that probably only bugs me because I'm a huge music freak lol |
I expected more people to comment on this, but it is actually correct as it is: the flute is viewed from behind (you can see the thumb key and the g# key) so you also have to see the player/shadow from behind. That is, flute extending to the right. Being a flute player, for me this is the only 'natural' way to see a flute: I never look at myself from the front, and even in the mirror it looks like this! |
