Painting the Corners by toddheadComment: The quality of light is so different between the photo and the ball that this fine idea falls a bit flat. Good compositions though; might try it again with a flatter light on the ball, angled further back to match that on the pitcher. |

Tough Travelersby JPRComment: Lovely black and white values, but the composition does not stress proportion. |

in the shadowby ajacoubComment: Great shot, but I fail to see the relavance to the challenge. Very painterly. |

Who's Watching who by agwrightComment: Dark, weird and very different. Should be a ribbon contender. I am so glad you didn't desat this to B&W, it would have stolen it's magic. the shift between the distorted world of color and life contrasts with the metal world of the dead. |

F-1by GordonComment: I like this shot even though I think it just skirts the challenge. Not much wheel showing, but what is here is beautiful. The color balance between the rust and the blue green of the door are just perfect. Good composition, clever play withthe rule of thirds, one of my favorites, which is often the kiss of death for ribbon contenders. |

18-wheelerby dickwilhelmComment: I see a boat, water, tires, mountains, life saver, rope.... what was the challenge? |

unsuccessful form of energyby tiptrippComment: The yelow of the oak and the reflections in the upper left hurt this compostion, putting too much attention away from your central focus. |

Point of viewby ivashComment: Pretty shot but a bit too abstract and a long way to go to get to a mouse wheel, which is barely a wheel anyway. I like the image and was trying one way and onother to see what it was and when I finally saw it I was disapointed that it wasn't a wheel wheel, had it been the payoff whould have been as high as the shot is pretty. |
