Keys Spiritsby Dax-Comment: this is brilliant! it's a fantastic choice of subject, and expertly executed. the colours fit with the style very well, the light and dark tones are marvellous, and the motion blur feels natural and just right. it has a sparkle and pizzazz that's very appealing, and it's something i could happily hang on the wall. so it's a 10. |

White Horseby RistyzComment: horses normally just freak me out, but this is gorgeous. i only wish that the face could be just a smidgeon sharper; especially round the eyes and ears. but the flowing mane, background, the b&w tones, composition (i like how you've not bothered with its body or legs) all add up to make this a really great shot; bit sharper and it would be worthy of any poster store. 7. |

Look Folks - No Handsby michael_pComment: well timed for what is a difficult shot to get. the only thing i would probably play with is the crop; the bottom third is a bit redundant and a squarer crop closer to the bike guy might emphasise him a bit more. i like the effect of the blur at the top though - looks like flourescent tubes exploding! good achievement though, and nicely dramatic. 8. |

night conversationby latidaComment: it's a bit of a strange one, this. i think there is too much going on in the frame vying for the viewers attention; the beach / coastal background, the person on the left being a bit too solid, the person on the right a bit too see-through, the bottles of water being an out of focus distraction. the coluors feel a bit washed out too; i feel it needs to be bolder, more contrasty. also a bit more light on your subjects? i don't know, simplicity is probably preferable with something like this. 4. |

Land Rovingby Len ScapComment: impressively sharp capture, and a great sense of movement too. let down slightly by the white triangle in the background bottom left - pity it wasn't green as well. but aside from that very good - nice sense of scale also from the way it's compoised / cropped. 8. |

Holy motion blur Batman!by Elvis_LComment: unfortunately, you've done this so well and effectively, you've gone and pretty wiped out much of the motion blur! but it's a fun playful homage to the original concept. 6. |

Meditating on platform 17by olbolComment: guessing it's a southwest train! i quite like this, in that the set up is a bit odd. the most dynaic thing about this is the orange line that runs through the image; so strange that it's so straight. the image doesn't really encourage meditative thoughts though - seems bit noisy to me. it's difficult to vote based on concept, but technically it's sharp and well lit; just generally lacks that certain sparkle. 5. |

Nuns On The Runby ColeyComment: apart from the fact that most nuns i've seen are grey haired old biddies poodling around in honda civics at speeds that would make a motion blur shot impossible, this is quite creative. i do feel that the poses feel a little forced and unconvincing (i think a spaced out nonchalant feet on the dashboard would suit the vw hippy lifestyle more), and to be honest, a tiny bit irritating. also, i can't help but think the shot is washed in slightly too much shade; especially for the nun in the dark at the back... still, it's an amusing idea and it's nicely done. 7.
lovely van, by the way. |

One hell of a rideby edmengComment: poor little bugger! this is very sweet in a sick and funny kind of way, though the illusion is somewhat shattered by the fact that only one wheel is spinning (the front, oddly) and it all looks like it's suspended in air. if you cropped the shot 1mm above the bottom edge of the tyres (and spun the back wheel) i think it would probably be a top 5 contender. 6. |

Alice's Slideby QartComment: aside from the fact that there isn't any blur of any kind, i feel this picture suffers somewhat from the overpoweringly white background - i'm guessing you felt that the original background was too distracting, but this is too heavily applied a fix. 3. |
